This VaultX album for my Topps trading cards is awesome, if somehow much larger than I had anticipated 😅

A Fantasy Baseball update:
My draft was on Sunday, mid-afternoon, so I had to draft using the Yahoo Mobile App, while being out and about, hanging out with friends.
Here’s what I got — wish me luck!

Recently finished Onside: Major League Soccer, the documentary series on TV+ about the past MLS season.
It was a nice and refreshing view compared to team-specific documentaries I’ve seen in the football (⚽️) world, and I really enjoyed the variety of discovering different teams, personalities, and players!
For someone like me, based in Europe, it was super useful to learn more about this league and its personalities. I wish more teams were covered, but I’m assuming that this would be the case if the show was to get renewed for another few seasons… MLS has definitely had the perception of being the “soon-to-be in the Top 5 of football leagues in the world” for 15 years now and we’re still waiting to see it happen, but at least the marketing has been good and the level of play has increased significantly. Though there’s still a lot of work to be done at youth level for the sport to become as mainstream and universal as it is in the rest of the world.
Next up on my watchlist:

Fun day out today: friends, bike rides, and long walks in our former neighborhood 🌞 🧑🧑🧒

Gonna be partaking in #FantasyBaseball for the first time this year (outside of Sorare)… anything I need to know? Any strategy or tips? ⚾️ 🧡 🖤
Delightful weather, sun, and light these past couple of days so we were able to to set up the balcony.
I was even able to hang out there for a little break from work and read thru my acquisition of Obvious State’s reprint of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Raven 📚

Found some of my old journals — in notebooks I never truly completed, dating from the time (2017-2018) when I started dating my now wife, a time when I traveled around the world by myself for 9 months. Will be going through some “archiving and digitizing” of these across Day One and the built-in camera’s text scanning feature.
Very excited to revisit some of the most exciting time(s) of my life and our story!

Quick Duolingo update
Ending the stretch of 4 games in 7 days with a third loss sadly 😢 m.acmomento.com/mo/o6LU8o… @acmomento
One for my fellow hobbyists: When you’ve ordered some of last season Orioles cards (as well as a Topps Series 1 hobby box) 📦 🃏🧡🖤⚾️
Today in “America is not a serious country”: In this report about AI, they’re displaying the logos of differerent companies in the space, including France’s/Europe’s Le Chat from Mistral, however instead of the proper logo… they used the logo of a laundry detergent

Back to back frustrating defeats lately 😩 🏀

Tough one today
What a great opener:
The world can no longer trust American tech. If that sounds dramatic, take a step back and consider the facts.
The United States is a nation in the thrall of authoritarianism, owned and operated almost completely by a far-right doomsday cult intent on betraying every alliance, every contract, every promise it has ever made (…) its decision-making is either erratic and illogical or dictated by interests that cannot and will not align with any reasonable principles of freedom, social progress, or ethical governance.
Return to Adidas Arena to watch my @ParisBasketball team — another Euroleague win against Bayern Munich!

It is no longer safe to move our governments and societies to US clouds
Written down like this, it seems pretty bizarre, and that’s because it is. It’s also not easy to realize that our relationship with America is over after 80 years. It took time for me as well to accept that.
But it really is over. (…) The US has dismantled the official privacy framework. The deal is dead.
So stop surrendering our society to America. Have the courage to use different software and services. Even if it takes some getting used to.
You can take the woman out of the US, but you can’t take the US outta the woman:
“The first time I had a blood orange was in a can of San Pellegrino”
😅 fun lunchtime conversation with my wife!
Absolutely stoked to read a story on my old neighborhood basketball court in the New York Times (by way of The Athletic)
I used to play about 1.5 to 2 hours there every Sunday mornings back when we used to live in Montmartre/Pigalle!

Unsurprising but insane god-complex coming out of… you guessed it, Silicon Valley:
Zayner wants to create the next generation of pets. “I think, as a human species, it’s kind of our moral prerogative to level up animals”
