Today marks the first birthday of my daughter — my wildest and most thrilling of adventure yet!

…As Bluesky and Mastodon become busier, Micro.blog will continue to carve out a quieter, slower niche on the social web.

About Apple News+ 📰

For national, world, and general interest news, Apple News is really good. (…) it’s truly excellent. And a News+ subscription gets you access to a bunch of great publications with paywalls on the web.

My wife and I are on the bundled package which includes Fitness+, News+, TV+, and a bunch of iCloud storage and we haven’t looked back.

I don’t use Apple News+ as much as I’d like purely because I also have RSS/social + occasionally open the NYTimes app or The Athletic.

I’d love it if France-based publishers would play ball too — and if there was additional support for foreign-language publishers.

But overall it’s a great way to catch up on the news. Including Audio articles, Magazines, and Sports News — that’s a really good curated tab of different news specifically tailored to teams that I follow!

Updated my votes for the french Betclic Elite All Star Game later this year. Votes count double today so here we go:

#ASG2024 @ParisBasketball 🏀

So overly excited for the upcoming in-season #HardKnocks about the AFC North teams, including my beloved @Ravens! 🏈

Poster for the upcoming in-season 'Hard Knocks' focusing on the AFC North. The poster shows the 4 head coaches and 4 star players of each teams: Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Cincinnati Bengals

Gruber, about meeting Dr Oz (soon-to-be head of Medicare/Medicaid Services)

(…) a brilliant mind in the field of thoracic surgery, and yet dumb as a rock in everyday human interaction. I spent the first few minutes with him wondering if I should introduce myself. I spent the last few glad I hadn’t.

What a lovely start of the day! #WinterSun

Micro.Blog to Bluesky/Mastodon/Fediverse (and Threads too!)

Another post inspired by @Manton, as I continue to read my way through my subscribed feeds:

I’m Tibz on most socials, @tibz.blog on Bluesky, and @tibz@micro.blog on Mastodon / @iTibz on Threads. These are all managed by Micro.blog. “Are you getting it? These are not three separate accounts… This is one place to post. And we’re calling it a blog.” 🤪

I’ve been loving the idea of Micro.Blog since its inception, but over the past few years, it’s really become a super interesting, powerful, and simple way for me to manage my personal online presence!

Followed @manton’s instructions and was able to set up my Bluesky account via Micro.blog (no longer tibz.bluesky.social but fully mapping to @Tibz.blog 😄

Either way: https://tibz.blog/bluesky also redirects directly to my Bluesky account anyways

🇲🇨 ⚽️ Leave my Scuro alone #DagheMunegu

Deactivated my Twitter over the weekend. Platform has changed a lot over the past 10 years or so — been using it since 2008-2009 and made a lot of Online-to-Offline/IRL friends there, but these days are long gone.

Via this personal blog hosted via micro.blog, you’ll be able to find me on Threads & Bluesky.

(+ it crossposts to Bluesky/Threads and is compatible with Mastodon, AND you own your data/content)

UPDATE: there’s now a dedicated page about crossposting on the Micro.Blog site
