I’ve started re-reading Jack Cheng’s These Days. This moment when the two protagonists first met kind of struck me:

Just had another case of “stepping away from the keyboard” to do something else instead of staying stuck for ages!
Can’t recommend it enough: after an hour or so, I’m getting back inspired and refreshed, not to mention unstuck.
I can’t tell whether I’m sick or allergic, but imma fight it!
I’ve spent some time this morning looking at my dates, flights, and Airbnbs.
Something will go wrong of course, but as it stands right now, I believe I’ve locked in all flights until December, and the first Airbnb for the beginning of my trip (between April & May).
All I need to do now is actually pay for the damn things. Oh and have a look at Visas and Insurance.

I’m sad that we’re so divided. There’s a real issue deep within the country that allowed him to rise, not unlike what we’ve seen in the history books. It’s on all of us to fix this, in whatever way we can. And that needs to start now. We can’t let the progress that generations before us worked so hard for, fought for, died for - vanish.
This morning I woke up compelled to public service and politics, and I hope you did too.
If you need motivation, look at the photo below. Look at the race of the crowd. I’m fortunate, I’m a straight white male. Imagine how it feels to wake up this morning as a minority, a woman, a homosexual. The battle against hate starts now, again. I’m not a democrat and I’m not a republican. This is not party lines.
Although I haven’t made up my mind regarding whom I’ll be voting for in the next French Presidential Election, however, Emmanuel Macron is on top of my list at this point. He’s the only one that I’m not against, by default.
So it’s pretty exciting to see him:
